3. Additionally, you must demonstrate leadership potential. And this should be in a business environment. Also, both through exceptional academic merit. Also, with an established track record of excellence in their chosen career.
4. Furthermore, you must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to remain eligible for the second and subsequent award payments.

The fellowships are awarded annually to graduate students. Also, those who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability. And academic accomplishments. Also, this is awarded in any of the courses offered by the university.

To be eligible, you must:
1. Be enrolled in or plan to enrol in the Faculty of Graduate Studies. And this is at the University of Manitoba. Also, it’s in either the masters. Masters is a duration of UMGF Master’s: 12 or 24 months. While PhD is a duration of UMGF Doctoral: 12, 24, 36 or 48 months.
2. Also, have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.75. And this is in each of the last two full years of study.
3. Additionally, show great promise as researchers. And also, as a graduate student.
4. Also, be admitted to, or registered in, a program that is eligible for tri-council graduate student awards.
5. Furthermore applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this fellowship.
How to Apply
The UMGF online application form cannot be saved. Also, it cannot be sent electronically. You must print out a hard copy of the application form. However, this is after it is completed and signed. And this is to be submitted to your department.
Other Attachments (free form) are:
1. Use white paper 8 ½ x 11 inches (21.5 cm x 28 cm).
2. Also, set margins at ¾ of an inch (1.9 cm) (minimum) all around.

Furthermore, enter your name at the top of every page.
4. Also, print on one side of the paper only.
5. Additionally, please follow the regulations pertaining to the number of pages allowed. Thus, note these. Pages in excess of the number permitted will be removed.
