Summer Scholarships 2021: Well, while you have less on your plate and you’re kicking your feet up after work or summer school, it’s important to kick up your summer scholarship search and enroll in a summer scholarship while having little or nothing doing during the summer break.

This article covers the 10 best summer scholarships you can enroll in during your summer break and have a memorial summertime.

1. Atlanta Dental Spa

Awarded By: Atlanta Dental Spa

Award Amount: $1,000, non-renewable.

Additional Information: Award selection will be based on the creativity and originality of submitted videos. The winner of this scholarship will receive the award within 2 weeks of the listed deadline date.

Deadline Info: Applications are available on the provider’s website. The student must submit a video of up to sixty seconds that addresses the topic prompt listed on the provider website.

2. Make Me Laugh:

is a fun scholarship that lets you cut loose and lighten things up. Looking for a scholarship for comedians? Now is your chance to show us your funny bone. Perhaps you always have an embarrassing – but funny – story to share. Great! We’ll promise to laugh with you, not at you.

Applicants Requirements:

  • Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
  • Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia
  • Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

3. Goedeker’s Summer Scholarship

Awarded By: Goedeker’s

Award Amount: One $500 grand prize and two $100 honorable mention scholarships will be provided. All awards are non-renewable.

Recipients: Three awards offered annually: one grand prize scholarship and two honorable mention scholarships.

Additional Information: An essay will be judged on originality, creativity, organization of thought, and proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Once a student is notified of winning, he/she has three days to respond and accept the scholarship award. If the selected winner does not respond within the allotted time, another winner will be chosen.

Deadline Info: Additional details are available on the provider’s website. The student must submit an essay (300 words or more) that discusses the importance of college and his/her chosen field of study.

4. Flavor of the  Month scholarship:

The flavor of the  Month scholarship, just in case you are simple and sweet like vanilla, classic yet unpredictable like chocolate chip, or a little nutty like pistachio? Whatever the flavor or reasons may be, we want to know what ice cream flavor best reflects your personality and why.

July is , and we need a little help picking out a “Flavor of the Month” for our famous ice cream scholarship. Tell us all about your ice cream flavor, and you could scoop up a sweet $1,500 scholarship.

Applicants Requirements:

  • Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application

“Summer and ice cream go hand-in-hand. In fact, July is National Ice Cream Month, and that’s the inspiration behind this award. We think people are very similar to ice cream; some are nutty, others a little exotic, while some are very comforting. If you were an ice cream flavor, which would you be and why?” (250 words or less)

5. CEA Study Abroad Scholarships

CEA Study Abroad is committed to increasing all students’ access to study abroad and enhance their global competence through financial aid and scholarship programs. University and college students can choose from one of three CEA scholarship categories: Merit-based, Diversity, and Need-based. To be eligible for these study abroad scholarships, students must enroll in any CEA Study Abroad Program.

Requirements for Application

  • Degree Level: Bachelors
  • Award: $400 – $1,000 (varies per scholarship)

6. Charlotte Latourette Outdoor Recreation Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors

Award Amount: Varies The Charlotte E. Latourette Outdoor Recreation Scholarship is available to students majoring in outdoor education and camping at Ohio University. You must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.


7. Greater Baton Rouge State Fair/George Simoneaux Scholarship

Deadline: Varies

Available to: College Juniors through College Seniors

Award Amount: Varies The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair/George Simoneaux Scholarship is available to full-time junior and senior students enrolled in the College of Agriculture at Louisiana State University.

To qualify, you must be a resident of East Baton Rouge, Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Saint Helena, or West Baton Rouge Parish. You must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have participated in County Agent 4-H or FFA programs, and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

8. The “Hit The Books” Scholarship

Deadline: 8/25/18

Available to: Ages 18-25

Award Amount: $500 The “Hit The Books” Scholarship is available to students between the ages of 18 and 25. To be considered, you must submit a maximum 500 – word essay on the importance of education in your life and how the scholarship money will assist you in achieving your goals. Bonus points will be awarded to students who find a creative way to include their passion for coffee within their essay without losing sight of the primary topic.

9. CGEE Students of Color Endowed Scholarship

To create a diverse community of co-learners abroad, the Center for Global Education and Experience (CGEE) awards students from historically disadvantaged groups financial assistance to participate in a CGEE program. The Students of Color Endowed Scholarship exists to provide encouragement to students of color to study abroad.

Requirements for Application

  • Degree Level: Bachelors
  • Award: depend on the applicant’s financial need and depends upon the resources available in the fund during any given year.
  • Deadline: April 15.

10.  Diversity Network Summer Scholarship

Diversity Abroad is dedicated to preparing the next generation to global leaders through international education and access to career opportunities. Underrepresented students are given the opportunity of a lifetime to apply for a summer scholarship and study/travel in any country they choose.

Scholarship Requirements

  • Degree Level: Bachelors
  • Required Diversity Criteria: Economically disadvantaged students (African-American/Black, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, Multiracial/ethnic or Indigenous/Native-American, students with disabilities and first-generation) who are full-time undergraduates at a community college or university in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States
  • Award: $1,000
  • Deadline: April 7.
