WB Chief Minister Relief Fund is started to help the people of the state. The Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal has approved financial assistance for different parties, which are as follows:
- Health problems that require expensive treatment
- Meritorious and poor students to achieve higher education.
- Loss of properties and loss of livelihood sources due to unforeseen incidents, natural disasters, roads, and fire accidents, etc.
WB CM’s Relief Fund will provide the finical help to the poor people and students of the state. Some people called it Nabanna Scholarship while others called it WBCMO Scholarship but in actual it is a relief fund that is named as Chief Minister Relief Fund.
This scheme is divided into two parts that are given here-
- Medical Assistance
- Educational Assistance
Medical Assistance:
Medical Assistance is helpful for the people who belong to poor families and have any health problem that requires expensive treatment and their families can not afford the treatment.
In such a condition, he can apply for Chief Minister Relief Fund. In this case, if he is eligible for this scheme then the Govt will pay his treatment amount.
Educational Assistance:
Educational Assistance will offer financial help to the students of the state who wants to study in higher classes but their financial condition is weak.
Such students can apply their applications for the Nabanna Scholarship.
Nabanna Scholarship rewards its beneficiaries annually with Rs. 10000/year throughout their study. This covers tuition fees, books, accommodation, etc.
Nabanna Scholarship 2021 Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a resident of West Bengal.
- The candidate must belong to the state board/council of secondary education board or state-aided university in West Bengal.
- Students must score 65% marks in the 10th or 12th class.
- An application must score 60% marks in 12th for the UG level.
- For the PG level, the candidate must score 55% in graduation.
- The annual income of his family should be Rs.60,000

Rewards for Nabanna Scholarships 2021
- After receiving the applications from the applicants. Then by checking the document, the government will send the verification and grant the scholarship to the student Rs.10,000 per annum.
