The scholarship is available for students from undergraduate level, who have at least 1 academic year remaining.

Sato Yo International Scholarship Foundation Eligibility

Aspirants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, and Vietnam are eligible.

Acceptable Programme or Subjects: Can apply to the university for an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral course.

Acceptable Criteria: None of the pupils may be Japanese citizens. A person who excels academically and is committed to their studies may also seek to benefit society by volunteering or participating in regional exchange programs.

Benefits:

For undergraduate studies, the educational opportunity will pay 150,000 Yen per month, and for graduate studies, 180,000 Yen per month.

How to Apply for Sato Yo International Scholarship Foundation

  1. Candidates must enroll in an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program at the university before submitting an application to the fund. After that, they can download the application form, fill it out, and mail it to the following address: Satoyo International Scholarship Foundation secretariat secretariat, 1-7-1 Shimomeguro, Meguro-Ku, Tokyo 153-0064.
  2. Supporting Documents: You should submit your curriculum vitae, transcripts from your academic work, a copy of your passport, documentation of your language proficiency, a recent photo, a personal statement, and referee information.
  3. Acceptance Undergraduate programs require 12 years of schooling, master’s programs demand a master’s degree, and doctorate programs require an undergraduate degree.
  4. Language Requirement: Both English and Japanese language proficiency is required.
