Korean Government Undergraduate Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).
About the Scholarship
The Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) is available to foreign students who wish to enroll at Korean universities to study bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
The fellowship aims to foster the development of global leaders, strengthen international networks supportive of Korea, and give overseas students the chance to pursue advanced studies at higher education institutions in Korea.

Requirements for Korean Government Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for the Korean Government Scholarship:
1. Citizenship
Candidates and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.
2. Age
KGSP-G: under 40.
KGSP-U: under 25.
3. Health
Candidates must be physically and mentally healthy for their studies in Korea.
Degree Requirements
KGSP-G: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
KGSP-U: High school diploma.
4. Grades
The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must be 80% or higher; or
The CGPA must be 2.64/ 4.0, 2.80/ 4.3, 2.91/ 4.5, or 3.23/ 5.0 or higher.
Selection Process
1st Selection: Either the collaborating colleges in Korea or the Korean Embassies across the world accept applications.
In the first stage of selection, embassies and universities choose the successful applicants from the pool of applicants. The NIIED will then receive the applications of the chosen individuals.
2nd Selection: The candidates who made it through the first round are chosen by the NIIED selection committee.
3rd Selection: Universities will assess the applications of individuals who applied through the Korean Embassies among the successful candidates who made it to the second stage and have passed.
Candidates who are chosen for admission must be accepted by at least one of the universities.
