CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR).
About the Scholarship
Over 400 researchers from 16 different nations work together at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR), a global organization established in Canada, to find solutions to some of the most challenging problems the world is currently experiencing.
Early career researchers can create networks and gain crucial skills through the CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars program, which also offers money and help.
These connections will help them become change-makers and leaders in academia and beyond.
Benefits of CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program
Each CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar receives:
1. A two-year fellowship with a CIFAR research program, a multidisciplinary worldwide network of elite researchers.
2. Unrestricted research support of $100,000 Canadian.
3. Senior researcher mentoring within a CIFAR research program.
4. Opportunities for peer networking, collaboration, and community building across the research programs of CIFAR.
5. Two cross-cohort annual meetings, specialized leadership and communication skills training, and assistance in putting those abilities to use.

Requirements for CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program
1. Applicants can be from anywhere in the world, but must hold a PhD (or equivalent) and be within five years of their first full-time academic appointment.
2. Scholars’ research interests must be aligned with the themes of an eligible CIFAR research program.
3. Be available to attend a two-day in-person interview* on March 22-24, 2021 in Toronto, Canada. CIFAR will cover travel costs.
