Full History of Dana Airline
Dana Air (www.flydanaair.com) was founded in 2008 and ran incident-free until June 2012. In an unfortunate accident, 153 passengers onboard and 30 on the ground died, when one of the airline’s aircraft crashed into a built-up area.
Subsequently, all Dana Air flights were halted and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) revoked the airline’s license.
They restored in September 2012 their license, but the airline only started flying regular routes again on 26 January 2014.
Since the 2012 accident, Dana Air has taken part in various training initiatives to prepare for IATA Operational Safety Audit.
The International Airline Training Fund (IATF) funds this initiative and Dana Air is one of ten airlines to benefit from it. Dana Air constantly reiterates that it is determined to provide its passengers with the highest global aviation safety standards and has since earned the trust of many public fliers.
