Newcastle University is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their Eddie and Elizabeth Thomas Scholarship. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.
About Newcastle University
Newcastle University (legally the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England.
The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871.
These two colleges came to form one division of the federal University of Durham, with the Durham Colleges forming the other.
Aim and Benefits of Scholarship
The award is for £2,500 per year for up to four years of study.

To be eligible for this award you must:
1. Be an undergraduate home (UK based) student, entering stage 1 of study in 2022-23.
2. Have and be able to demonstrate financial need for the award. This could include:
3. Unable to cover basic cost of living;
4. Unable to participate in extra-curricular activities;
5. Having to work in excess of 10 hours per week in a job.
6. Applications from candidates from widening participation and diverse backgrounds are encouraged.
