ACECoR Masters and PhD Scholarships is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the World Bank.
About the Scholarship
The MPhil and PhD degree programs at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), which was founded as part of the World Bank’s Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) for Development Impact Project and is housed at the Centre for Coastal Management, University of Ghana Cape Coast, Ghana, are now accepting applications from suitably qualified national, regional, and international candidates.
Benefits of ACECoR Masters and PhD Scholarships
ACECoR scholarships do not include visa fees or travel tickets. However, there will be administrative assistance with visa applications and airport pickup.
Requirements for ACECoR Masters and PhD Scholarships
MPhil
The minimum admission requirement for the MPhil programs is a first degree (Second Class Lower Division or equivalent) in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline, from a recognized university.
In addition, the applicant must demonstrate strong interest in research, development and innovation in science and technology, as well as the ability to work optimally and independently in an international multidisciplinary environment.
PhD
The minimum admission requirement for the PhD programs is a two- year master’s degree with research in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
In addition, the applicant must demonstrate a strong interest in research, development and innovation in science and technology, as well as the ability to work optimally and independently in an international multidisciplinary environment.

MPhil
All candidates must submit the following (indicating the preferred area of specialisation):
1. Completed Scholarship Application form.
2. Certified true copy of academic certificates and transcripts.
3. Curriculum Vitae (CV).
4. Statement of Motivation.
5. Two (2) letters of recommendation (at least one from a former lecturer/supervisor).
6. A 2-3 page research proposal in the preferred area of specialisation.
PhD
All candidates must submit the following (indicating the preferred area of specialisation):
1. Completed scholarship application form.
2. Certified true copy of academic certificates and transcripts.
3. Curriculum Vitae (CV).
4. Statement of Motivation.
5. Two (2) letters of recommendation (at least one from a former lecturer/supervisor).
6. A 3-5 page research proposal in the preferred area of specialisation.
