AUT International Excellence Scholarships 2022 Application Update

AUT International Excellence Scholarships is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

About the Scholarship

A previous technical college was given university status on January 1, 2000, creating Auckland University of Technology, a university in New Zealand.

With over 29,100 students enrolled across three campuses in Auckland, AUT is New Zealand’s third-largest university overall.

Scholarships are offered by Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the Faculty of Culture and Society to recognize and assist outstanding overseas students as they begin their path to become outstanding AUT graduates.

Benefits of AUT International Excellence Scholarships

The scholarship comprises a $7,000 contribution towards fees.

There are 35 scholarships on offer.

Requirements for AUT International Excellence Scholarships

1. Applicants must be full fee-paying international students (Note: International students are students who are neither citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia).

2. Must have a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study in a Faculty of Culture and Society program (undergraduate level or above, excluding doctoral and at least 120 points).

3. Applicants will be asked to provide their AUT Student ID in the box provided on the application form. 4. Scholarships are awarded on academic merit and quality of the applicant’s personal statement (no more than 200 words).

4. Applicants are required to declare if they have applied for other forms of scholarships both internally (i.e., awarded by AUT) and externally (e.g., government scholarships).

Documents Required for Application

Applicants are required to upload:

1. Current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study at AUT.

2. Detailed academic transcript with a grading scale of the most recent qualification.

3. Completion certificate (e.g., bachelor’s degree certificate), if applicable.

4. A personal statement (maximum 200 words) explaining why you are applying for this scholarship, and what it would mean to you to receive it.

5. All documentation must be uploaded by the closing date otherwise the application will be considered ineligible.
