Scholarship Benefits

Scholarships offered by Queensland University include:

Science International Scholarship:

• Scholarship value $3,000.
• Scholarship recipients must comply with the obligations outlined above, as applicable, prior to receiving payment.
• After the academic census date in the first semester of study, UQ will pay scholarship winners.
• The payment will be made into the nominated Australian bank account of each recipient.

EAIT International Award – Year 12:

1. A total of $10,000 will be awarded as assistance with the recipient’s degree-related expenses.
2. Following the census date of their first two semesters of study, i.e. 31 March or 31 August, $5000 will be applied to the student’s UQ account.

Eligibility Criteria for QU Scholarships 2022

The following requirements must be met in order to qualify for the Queensland University Scholarship for International Students:

1. Required Languages: English
2. Eligible Countries: All world countries

Science International Scholarship: 

• Being able to be classified as an international student in Australia.
• All documentation to meet conditions associated with an offer of a scholarship from UQ must be submitted by the scholarship closing date.
• Apply for the UQ program with strong academic performance.
• Enroll in a program offered by the UQ Faculty of Science that lasts more than one year (full time).
• Having enrolled at UQ for the first semester.
• You are not eligible for these scholarships if you are already enrolled at UQ and want to change programs.
•  The program is not open to students enrolled in non-award, study abroad, or exchange programs.
• The scholarship winner must: • Begin studying in the semester indicated in the UQ offer letter.
  Complete the program of study as successfully as possible.
  As a scholarship winner, they must consent to UQ publishing their name, photo, and degree program name.
  If you would like your testimonial and photo to be published, please provide them.

EAIT International Award – Year 12:

• In 2022, intend to enroll as a full-time student in an undergraduate engineering, architecture, or information technology program

2. Receive a UQ Student ID Number and an offer.
3. Complete the Science International Scholarship online application form here
4. Please submit your application by 5 pm (AEST) on the scholarship closing date.

EAIT International Award – Year 12:

1. Apply using the online application form.
2. A personal statement should explain:
   • Your motivation for studying your chosen program and how the scholarship will help you
   • You can also include information about any relevant extracurricular activities that may support your application.
