The Donald S. Groves Scholarship is for any College or University. Applicants must graduate seniors of Nicholas County High School. They must also be athletes.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. You must be a student in your first year.
2. Enroll in a university, a four-year institution, or a two-year college.
3. A high school student must presently be enrolled.
4. Full-time education is required.

4. Bill Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Bill Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund honors basketball players from Eastern Montgomery High School.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Show Financial Need
2. Average intellectual ability, the grade point average, should not exceed 3.2
3. Only Eastern Montgomery High School students and students who played basketball for the Virginia Warriors are eligible.
4. Applicants who plan to attend a college, university, or a postsecondary vocational or technical institution should apply.
5. Applicants must have participated in high school or recreational athletics in order to be considered.

5. Michael Gordon Burgos Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Michael Gordon Burgos Memorial Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to Ventura County citizens who have graduated or will graduate from any Ventura County high school.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Who has graduated or will graduate this year from any Ventura County high school
2. 3.0 minimum GPA
3. Current Ventura County residents who have lived in the county for at least three years are eligible.
4. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Ventura County-based approved non-profit institution of higher learning.
5. Students wanting to follow a path of study in any of the healing arts, such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or psychology, will be given priority in the selection process.
6. Students who demonstrate involvement in the local volunteer health, and/or human service initiatives will receive a scholarship.
7. To students who have expressed an interest in basketball or tennis or have taken part in one of these sports.
8. Students that show an interest in environmental protection/preservation will be given priority in the selection process.

6. Roy S. Bates Scholarship
The scholarship was created to recognize excellent Wayne County High School graduates who have excelled in baseball, softball, and/or basketball while also displaying good citizenship.

Only Floyd County High School women’s basketball team participants are eligible to apply for the award.
Applicants must show adequate academic achievement to get admission to any trade or technical institution, college, or university.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. A high school student is required.
2. Must be able to show significant academic achievement
3. Character integrity, initiative, leadership, and excellent sportsmanship must all be demonstrated.
4. Any trade or technical school, college, or university must be attended.
5. A member of the women’s basketball team is required.
6. Student Aid Report (SAR) and FAFSA must be submitted.
