The world bank graduate scholarship for 2023/2024 application is now open for qualified students and it is a fully funded scholarship for all qualified students that are interested.
About the Scholarship
The Scholarship is available to women and men from developing nations who are submitting an application for a master’s degree program in a field connected to development and who have relevant professional experience and a history of aiding their nations’ development efforts.
JJWBGSP offers scholarships, subject to funding, for 10 Partner Programs at universities in the U.S., Europe, and Japan in important development fields like infrastructure management, economic policy management, and tax policy, as well as for 30 Preferred Programs covering a variety of development topics.
Scholars from developing nations pledge to return home after receiving their degrees to put their new knowledge to use and support the social and economic advancement of their home nations.
World Bank Graduate Scholarship
JJ/WBGSP scholarship proposes the following rewards to the beneficiary:
1. Airfare in economy class between your home nation and the university at the start of your study program and shortly after the scholarship period ends.
Scholars will also be given a US $500 travel allowance for each trip in addition to the round-trip airfare;
2. Fees for your graduate program as well as the price of your university-provided basic health insurance.
3. During the duration of the scholarship, a monthly subsistence payment to cover all living costs while on campus (accommodations, food, etc., including books). Dependent on the host nation, the payment differs in size.
Eligibility for World Bank Graduate Scholarship
1. Be a citizen of a developing countries on this list that is a member of the World Bank;
2. Not possess double nationality with any advanced nation.
3. Have a healthy body;
4. Own a Bachelor’s degree that was attained at least three years before the limit for applications;
5. Three years of current job experience in development after getting a Bachelor’s
6. Partake in a full-time, paid job doing growth-interrelated work at the time the scholarship request is submitted.
Have completed at least 3 years of paid development-related work within the last 6 years of the application deadline after receiving a bachelor’s degree (or a degree from an equivalent university).
7. Be accepted without condition (apart from financing) into at least one of the JJ/WBGSP selected university master’s programs by the deadline for scholarship applications.
Also, the location must be different from both the applicant’s specified country of residence and country of citizenship at the time the call for scholarship applications begins.
8. The phrase “near relative” shall not be used in reference to any Executive Director, his/her alternate, or staff members of any type of appointment of the World Bank Group.

Each qualified application is assessed individualistically by two capable judges, who then rate each application on a scale of 1 to 10, taking into explanation four key rudiments and the grade between them:

3. Level of Allegiance to Your Country (30% weight)
4. Education background quality (10% weight)

3. Extraordinary situations or difficulties when evaluating an applicant’s career history and other factors;
4. Awarding scholarships to candidates who, other things being equal, do not have easy access to funding for graduate studies overseas.
Application for a graduate scholarship from the World Bank
If the applicant submits only one fully completed application electronically using the online application, it will be accepted and examined.
