In the first place. the youth empowerment scheme of the Federal Government, N-Power, has suffered some set back in aspect of delay in validating applicants, which invariably has hindered participants from writing assessment test. The reason is not far-fetched other than rigorous efforts being put in place to validate applicants’ BVN.

Federal Government said it is carrying out the validation of the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of applicants so as to avoid challenge of bank account name/bank account number discrepancies faced in the previous N-Power exercise.

Some of the beneficiaries of the N-Power 2016 recruitment are yet to be paid their stipends due to this very issue of banks details discrepancy because such issue was not pre-emptied.

Therefore the Federal Government has issued statement on its official website to respective applicants who have not received SMS validation not to panic, as the process is still underway and the delay is intended to bring better result.

Government also reiterated its commitment to be transparent and fair in the scheme process.

The statement reads:

“Good morning,

“The aim of BVN validation is to avoid the current situation faced by some of the existing beneficiaries who have had issues with payment.

“Once again, when the BVN validation is done, a TEXT MESSAGE will be sent to your phone numbers to either proceed to the assessment test phase or not.

“N-Power NG remains committed to a fair and transparent process.
