Jardine Scholarship, which is fully funded and sponsored by the Jardine Foundation, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.
The Jardine Scholarship
Established in 1982 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group, the Jardine Foundation is an educational trust.
, which began as a trading company in China in 1832, is now a diversified business group with a strong focus on Asia.
The Group’s interests span various industries, including engineering and construction, transport services, insurance broking, property investment and development, retailing, restaurants, luxury hotels, motor vehicles, financial services, heavy equipment, mining, and agribusiness.
The Jardine Foundation’s primary objective is to support exceptional young individuals who possess a strong commitment to their communities.
The foundation awards Jardine Scholarships on an annual basis to students of all levels, enabling them to attend selected colleges at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Eligibility for Jardine Scholarship
1. To be eligible for the Jardine Scholarship, applicants must have resided with their parents in one of the eligible countries for at least seven years prior to the application date.

The eligible countries are those where Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited or its subsidiaries operate or have significant business interests, such as Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, mainland China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
2. Applicants must have completed secondary school education no more than seven years prior to the date of application to the desired study program.
3. Applicants must meet the academic requirements of both the chosen study program and the selected universities.
4. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy to complete the course program.
Benefit of Jardine Scholarship
1. The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the chosen study program.
2. Successful candidates will receive an annual allowance as part of the scholarship award.
3. Accommodation at the university campus will be provided for the duration of the course.
4. Immigration and health fees will also be covered by the scholarship.
5. The scholarship includes round trip airfare transportation expenses.
6. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in summer internships provided by the Jardine Matheson Group, attend regular gatherings, and engage in community service.
Application Deadline
The deadline for undergraduate students to apply for the scholarship is 5 PM Hong Kong Time on Friday, October 21, 2022.
