TELECOMMUNICATION IN THE WORLD TODAY

STOMEY F. SMITH (1974) says that communication is of course “ when you know something which you want someone elae to know you tell them,” and that is a special form of communication. The Ancient Greek word “Tele” means “FAR” OR “distance”, hence the word: telecommunication simple means literally “Distance or Far communication.” 

There are many ways or means of information sharing the (i.e.). Communication) which  include among others the following; Radio waves, telegraphic telephone computers,  the internet but the  one we are concerned with in this study is telephony using   (GSM

HANDSET.). Mob lie handset is a means by which message are sent and received in spoken from using the principle of modulation- demodulation.

According to KENNEDY G (199 3), He said  that was first patented by Alexander Graham Bell master patent of the telephone from which all other patents for electric telephone devices and features flowed.

         Telecommunication has a significant social, cultural and economic  impact on modern society. In 2008, estimates place the telecom industry’s revenue at  53.8 5 trillion or just under 3 percent  of the Gross World product (official exchange rate).

EDWARD LENER (1 994) says, economic impact of telecoms is discussed under “microeconomics and macroeconomics” On the former, companies have used telecoms to build global business empires while  on the later, there is a link between telecoms and economic growth
