SUNDAY SERVICES AND OTHER WEEKLY ACTIVITIES IN A CHURCH – BIBLE SCHOOLS/SEMINARIES

A Pastor can deliberately develop his church Sunday programmes and other weekly activities to be a real educational programme that covers a variety of spiritual and existential matters. A good way of doing this includes monthly,   quarterly or interval topical schedules that may run through the year.       Consider the following examples:

(1)       January March = Success/Break through lessons. This should cover spiritual, material,   family, business, academic success blue-print.

(2)       April June = Knowledge and wisdom studies. This should highlight

knowledge of basic Bible Doctrines,  Holy spirit gifts and fruit,  principles of Christian life and essence of divine wisdom,   etc.

(3)       July September = Consolidatory lessons: This covers the first two    schedules laying emphasis on some salient points.

(4)       October December = Enlargement campaign. This has to cover educative and practical lessons on Soul-winning-mass and personal, spiritual and material harvest, fruit preservation and excellence in life and ministry, etc.

The above is a mere illustration which may serve as mental frame-work for developing a better plan. This should include special training programme for workers, committee members and fellowship wing like Youths, Men and Women etc.

BIBLE SCHOOLS/SEMINARIES

While we do not advocate profusions or proliferation of formal Christian educational institutions, we cannot ignore the indispensability of special training for the church leaders and ministers. Hence Bible schools and seminaries are indeed prominent aspects of Christian education. It has standard curriculum of multiple secular and theological values
