Description

1. We are seeking an exceptional Network Engineer to join our Networks and Communications Services team.

2. This is a highly technical, hands-on role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

3. The successful candidate will have a mixture of deep technical know-how as well as excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.

What you will be doing:

1. Work with cross-functional technical teams to assist with system architecture focusing on network design, network security and network data transfer optimization

2. Work with Access Bank’s Global Network System teams to resolve network related issues impacting LAN and WAN infrastructure

3. Operational monitoring of data network infrastructures and load-balancers

4. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the networks and carrying out scheduled maintenance activities

5. Resolution of network faults (support)

6. Manage escalations of network faults or performance issues to the next level and upper management.

7. Carry out approved changes to the network infrastructures

8. Work with firewalls and other standard network security equipment and software

9. Liaise and coordinate with international counterparts for various project implementations.

10. Maintain documentation of the environment and operational procedures

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

2. CCIE Certification

3. At least 6 years hands -on experience including 2 years’ post CCIE in the Telecommunications or Financial Services industry

4. Must have led/supervised a team of at least 4 Network Engineers

5. Solid understanding of TCP/IP (both IPv4/IPv6)

6. Experience and knowledge of BGP and Internet Routing Policies

7. Extensive knowledge of both Cisco IOS/NX-OS and JUNOS

8. Strong working knowledge of the following: wireless security architecture and protocols; access control methodologies; VPN technologies, including IPSec, 3DES, AES, IKE, DMVPN; PCI and SOX standards and compliance, and Layer 2 security controls

9. Expertise with standard Linux utilities and programs (grep, sed, awk, sort, traceroute, tcpdump, etc)

10. Experience automating workflows through scripting (Python, Perl, or Ansible).

1. As the head of Agric Business in Commercial Banking, you’ll take a lead role in delivering an outstanding experience to our Agricultural customers.

2. You’ll acquire, manage, retain meaningful relationships with our customers, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs

Responsibilities

1. Reports to the Executive Director Supervising Agric Business Group

2. Responsible for providing policy direction on agricultural lending processes and procedures.

3. Responsible for developing processes, procedures and products for the SBU.

4. Responsible for assessing Agric credit risks in liaison with credit risk management.

5. Responsible for developing business/market along viable Agricultural value chains.

6. Responsible for managing all Agric lending activities with Business Units and Credit Risk teams.

7. Responsible for maintaining an “intelligent” database of all Agric Business activities and reporting in liaison with other units.

8. Responsible for monitoring the portfolio performance in line with banks objectives and targets.

9. Responsible for administration and supervision of all Agric Business Group’s staff.

10. Responsible for training, discipline and performance of Agric Business Group’s staff.

11. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by Executive Director.

Requirements

Desired Skills:

1. 10+ years of experience in Banking and in the Agric Sector. A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage

2. In-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial banking; commercial credit knowledge and an ability to quickly learn new products and services

3. Possesses sound judgment and is creative in providing credit/deposit solutions to bank clients

4. Significant experience with commercial credit decision making authority, with experience in complex capital structures and cross border transactions

5. Minimum intermediate level credit skills with the capability to demonstrate advanced-level credit skills to be
   appointed a senior credit officer

6. Able to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external constituencies

7. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams through complex change; a reputation for retaining, attracting and developing talent

8. Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills

9. Must be able to express a sound opinion, able to agreeably present another viewpoint

10. Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrate innovative approaches.
