The authorities of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) have released the list of successful candidates at the university’s 2023/2024 academic session post UTME screening exercise.
Brief Information about UNICAL
The University of Calabar is a university in Calabar, . It is one of Nigeria’s second generation federal universities. The University of Calabar was a campus of the University of Nigeria until 1975.
Decree established it to fulfill this traditional mandate, its motto “Knowledge for Service”.
The school’s mission is to produce high-quality graduates and scholars in focal areas of learning with theoretical, practical and entrepreneurial skills for the world of work in a conducive environment through quality research and teaching.

UNICAL Admission List
Admission lists is the names of successfully admitted applicants offered provisional admission into an institution.
Institutions usually release the admission lists after the conduct of admission screening exercise.
It comes in different batches; 1st Batch is (Merit List) followed by 2nd, 3rd and .
UNICAL admission list which contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the various first degree programmes offered by the university has been uploaded online.
Procedure to Check UNICAL Admission List
Currently, candidates can only access their UNICAL admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:
1. Go to the JAMB admission portal at .
2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
4. Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.
5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your UNICAL admission status.
Candidates successfully admitted into the University of Calabar (UNICAL) first degree programmes are advised to:
➛ Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
➙ Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
➛ Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
➙ Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.
➛ Candidates not yet admitted should note that admission is in progress, and regularly check the JAMB site and the for their admission status.

How to Check UNICAL Admission List
You will be able to follow the procedure outlined below once the list is uploaded on the university website.

2. Login with the JAMB Reg Number to access your UNICAL admission status.
NOTE:
➙ Candidates whose names appear on this list are please advised to login to the JAMB portal to either ACCEPT or REJECT their admission offers within 72 hours from this publication, failure which the admission may be REVERSED.
➛ Those YET-TO-BE admitted and whose scores fall within the approved cut-off mark with the required subject combination are advised to check the school portal regularly to know their admissions status.
➙ Candidates are advised to go on the JAMB portal to accept admission if they have not done that already.
