About JAMB Awaiting Result

When a candidate applies for JAMB UTME or admission to a tertiary institution (University, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education).

But does not have his or her O’level results ready or is awaiting the release of his or her O’level result, he or she is usually allowed to state that he or she is still awaiting the release of his or her O’level result.

A student or candidate who is awaiting a result is known as an “Awaiting Result” candidate. Many candidates believe that if they submitted their O’level results, they would be disqualified.

Alternatively, that they would not receive the same scrutiny. Some even believe that there is no need to apply for the JAMB UTME or to seek admission based on pending results since they would exclude outright you.

Further Details on JAMB Awaiting Result 2022

Contrary to the rumours and publications making rounds that JAMB candidates with awaiting results cannot take part in the 2022 UTME.

More so, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that candidates with Awaiting results can apply for 2022 UTME.

However, such candidates must have got their results at the point of admission into their institution.

This information was disclosed via the Board’s official Twitter handle.

The board equally stated that will not deny any Candidate the right to quality education. During registration, those with results will upload their results.

While awaiting results, candidates will not upload any. This will not qualify them or make them less preferred to those with results.

So if you hope to apply for 2022 UTME using awaiting the result, do so. JAMB will not disqualify you for that.
