The Macquarie University is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all domestic and international students.

The Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships are different categories of scholarships awarded to students at the international level who are at different levels of studies annually.

The scholarship is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students with academic excellence to study at Macquarie University. The scholarship is one of the most competitive when it comes to selection and it is exclusively based on academic merit.

How to Apply for The Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships 2021

Before applying for the Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships, some procedures have to be observed. According to the scholarships policy, before completing the scholarship application form, one must observe the following.

1. First, one ought to have already applied to study at Macquarie University.

2. Second, one must have been offered admission to study in the institution

3. Third, the admission must have been offered for a period of four weeks before the scholarship gets to be processed by the candidate.

Who Is Eligible For The Scholarship?

There are basic requirements that must be met before one is ascertained to be eligible for the scholarship. Below is the list of these basic requirements.

1. The applicant must attain the Academic and English Language requirements for the school’s undergraduate and postgraduate studies. This would also determine if the applicant gains admission or not.

2. Interested candidates are also required to have attained a minimum WAM equivalent of 65, that is, for postgraduate applicants. For undergraduates, a minimum ATAR equivalent of 85 is required.

Benefits Of The Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships

The scholarship is not a fully-funded program. However, it makes provision for a sizeable percentage of the entire tuition fees which the beneficiaries would have had to pay during their studies. There is a variation to the amount which students receive.

It is a one-time non-renewable offer that amounts to AUD 10,000. The scholarships make no provisions for any form of allowances or . It does not make any contributions towards visa or travelling expenses. And, there are no provisions for jobs, accommodation or training/seminars of any kind.

Levels of Studies Accepted

The Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships are only targeted at candidates seeking to study undergraduate and or postgraduate courses at the school. There are no categories for Diploma, or any other programs (short or long term).

Eligible Nationalities

There are certain nationality criteria that make one eligible and ineligible for the scholarship. It is required that the applicant must be an international student. However, there is an exclusion of students who are citizens of Australia and New Zealand. In other words, every international student is free to apply for the scholarship as much as he/she is not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand.
