The Federal Government of Nigeria is training and empowering young qualified unemployed Nigerians in the Npower Agro volunteer corps programme as Agriculture Extension Adviser.

N-Power Agro Volunteers will provide advisory services to farmers across the country.

They will disseminate the knowledge that has been aggregated by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the area of extension services.

They will also gather data on Nigeria’s agriculture assets.

N-Power Agro Volunteers will be engaged in two years skills acquisition program by providing science and knowledge to our farmers to boost production.

They will receive a monthly stipend and computer devices to ensure their continuous learning to advance to the economic jobs.

Through N-Power Agro young graduates who are currently unemployed are empowered for success while paying the way for an effective and knowledge base agriculture system.

To aid greater growth, all shortlisted applicants will receive a monthly stipends and computer devices to ensure their continuous learning to advance to the economic jobs sector.

However, through this development, it is believed that young graduates who are currently unemployed will be empowered to succeed while paving the way for responsible and efficient agricultural systems.

Application Requirements

In order to apply successfully for any teaching position in the Npower Agro Scheme, you must fulfil some basic requirements.

The requirements include possession of any of the following;

• Possession of B.Sc, , , OND in Nutrition, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Science, Food Science & Technology, and other agro related disciplines.

• Any added certificate either postgraduate or professional certification will be of advantage.

• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

• West African School Certificate (WAEC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects.

• Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO) with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)

• (ND) obtained from a recognized institution.

• National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution.

• All candidates must have a valid means of identification such as a valid driver license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card etc.

• Ability to work with basic computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).

• Geographical mobility within and outside Nigeria.

If you’ve been shortlisted, then you’ve got your foot in the door. And it’s time for you to shine at the final stage – the interview.
