Children of New Jersey workers who have suffered fatalities or severe injuries in workplace accidents can receive scholarships for college and vocational training via Kids’ Chance of New Jersey.

When a parent passes away or suffers a major illness, children and families are frequently faced with financial challenges, which makes it challenging for worthy young people to pursue their educational goals.

Applications for the SPRING 2022 Semester and all necessary paperwork must be submitted by November 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • A dependent of a parent who was seriously, catastrophically, or fatally injured in a work-related accident
  • ​​The injured parent must have a New Jersey State accepted workers’ compensation claim
  • Must be between the ages of 18 – 26 years old
  • ​​Attending full-time or part-time at an Undergraduate or Vocational school
  • ​​Must have already obtained a high school diploma or GED at time of first disbursement
  • ​Must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA
  • ​Should be of good moral character
