1. Instacart
The on-demand grocery startup Instacart is looking to hire 300,000 more workers as demand surges for grocery deliveries as millions of people are urged to stay home to limit the spread of coronavirus.
Instacart is looking to hire 300,000 “full-service shoppers” across North America during the next three months, who will be treated as independent contractors.

2. Amazon
Last month, Amazon, the American internet sales company, announced that it is raising wages and opening 100,000 new positions to ensure its delivery network can withstand the coronavirus pandemic. And they did it! Not only Amazon hired 100,000 people last month, now they’re hiring another 75,000 workers!

3. Walmart
The world’s largest retailer Walmart is hiring additional 150,000 workers to handle the increased demand for everyday goods such as food and house essentials.
Walmart plans to hire 150,000 new associates through the end of May to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers. These roles will be temporary at first, but many will convert to permanent roles over time.

4. CVS Health
CVS Health, an American healthcare company is also embarking on the most ambitious hiring drive in the company’s history, with plans to immediately fill 50,000 full-time, part-time, and temporary roles across the country.
Roles they are looking to fill include store associates, home delivery drivers, distribution center employees, and member/customer service professionals.

5. Dollar General
Dollar General, an American chain of variety stores is joining those retailers hiring more workers to meet demand during the coronavirus pandemic. They are currently hiring 50,000 to meet coronavirus shopping demand.
The heightened demand for household essentials sold across their 16,300-plus stores has led the company to “nearly double its normal hiring rate” and hire up 50,000 employees by the end of April.

6. Lowe
Lowe, an American retail company specializing in home improvement, is hiring for 30,000 positions and giving employees $80 million in bonuses as part of its response to the growing coronavirus pandemic.
Lowe is hiring for in-store positions across the U.S., including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and overnight roles available for displaced workers who are seeking short-term opportunities. Positions are also available at distribution centers and other supply chain facilities.

7. Pizza Hut
An American restaurant chain Pizza Hut and its franchisees are also mass hirings, with re than 30,000 open positions currently available nationwide. Most importantly, these are permanent positions!
Available jobs include cooks, shift leaders, restaurant managers, and virtual call center, agents. Pizza Hut is also hiring more drivers to meet an increased delivery demand as more customers order to eat at home.

8. FedEx
FedEx Ground is hiring part-time and full-time individuals to load and unload packages in our fast-paced warehouse environment. Part-time employees typically work a 2-4-hour shift per day. Full-time employees work approximately two shifts per day of varying lengths.
Package Handlers are responsible for warehouse duties including the physical loading, unloading, and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling, etc. safely and efficiently.

7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience store chain, is hiring up to 20,000 people amid the pandemic, the company announced, citing an anticipated surge in delivery shopping through its new app.
7-Eleven is looking to hire employees at its corporate and franchise locations nationwide to stock shelves, clean stores, and fulfill online orders for home delivery.

Papa John’s, an American pizza restaurant franchise and delivery restaurant chain are hiring up to 20,000 employees to meet the increased demand brought on by the rapidly spreading coronavirus.
