The Information reaching us has it that the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is set to employ casual teachers, who are to work as interns for a period of two years.
The programme is under the Ogun State Teaching Experience Acquisition Channel (Ogun TEACH).
It’s a special intervention scheme designed to fill the existing vacancies in the Public Primary/Secondary Schools and Technical Colleges in the State.

Ogun State Teachers Registration Closing Date
The Ogun teachers Recruitment/Registration has been officially announced. The period of online registration shall be between Wednesday 31st March and Tuesday, 13th April 2021.
Ogun State Teachers Recruitment Portal Requirements/Qualification
- Possession of B.Sc, , , OND in relation to the applied position from a recognized institution.
- B.A (Ed)/ BSc (Ed)/ B.Ed (with the minimum of second class lower division in the teaching subjects), while those with B.A/B.Sc in any of the primary/secondary school subjects must possess Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from reputable universities in addition.
- B.Tech (Ed)/ B.Sc (Ed) (Tech)/B.Sc/HND (for Technical Colleges only)
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- Applicants must not be above 35 years old.
- West African School Certificate (WAEC) or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects; or
- Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO)/General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)
- (ND) obtained from a recognized institution. National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution; or General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two (2) subjects obtained at one sitting or three (3) subjects obtained at two sittings.
- Must be computer literate.
Mistake to Avoid while Applying
A lot of people fail in many applications not because they are not qualified, but because of the numerous mistake. So take note of the following:

Ogun State Teachers Recruitment Portal of Shortlisted Candidates
After completion of the application, applicants will be shortlisted for CBT exams/test screening will be conducted and this will help reduce the number of candidates.
Furthermore, all successful candidates will qualify for full-time or part-time employment in the Teacher’s Service Commission (TESCOM).
Also, the final selection will depend on general performance.
Successful applicants to be known as TEACH interns shall be deployed to Local Government Areas in dire need of their services and will be given a stipend on monthly basis for a period of Two (2) years.
After which they would be assessed on parameters ranging from expertise, commitment to duty, punctuality, respect for constituted authority and willingness to work wherever they are posted to, among others.
