AMK Indigenous Law Students Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Flinders University.
About the Scholarship
is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honor of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century.
The object of the scholarship is to assist Indigenous students studying the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice at Flinders University.
The Scholarship has been established through a generous donation from AMK Law.
Benefits of AMK Indigenous Law Students Scholarship
Each Scholarship will have a value of $5,000 to be paid in two equal instalments of $2,500 after the census date of each semester.
One Scholarship will be available per annum for the duration of the funding period.

Applicants for the scholarship must:
1. Be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
2. Identify as an Australian Aboriginal or ; and
3. Be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived; and
4. Normally be enrolled at full-time Flinders University; and
5. Be enrolled in the second or subsequent year of the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice or the Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours); and
6. Have a minimum GPA of 4.0; and
7. Be able to show an interest in the impacts of technology on the law, legal practice, and access to justice
8. Be able to show an interest in a career in commercial law; and
9. Have received a similar scholarship.
