1. University of North Carolina
UNC’s men’s basketball team has an illustrious history, boasting several ACC regular season and tournament titles, as well as numerous NCAA Tournament victories.
Some of the university’s alumni, such as Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, James Worthy, and Bob McAdoo, have been named among the 74 greatest ESPN players of all time.
This success is in part due to UNC’s outstanding scholarship program, which awards full scholarships to the most deserving players.

2. University of Worcester
The University of Worcester is presenting a basketball scholarship, which provides three opportunities to exceptional players who are also enrolled as students.
These scholarships are open to those students who seek to apply for undergraduate or graduate programs at the university.
There are five basketball teams at the institution, providing students with opportunities to compete at different levels, ranging from recreational to elite.
3. Leroy and Phyllis Heiser Basketball Scholarship
A member of the SPASH varsity basketball team receives the Leroy and Phyllis Heiser Basketball Scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Member of SPASH Varsity Basketball.

4. Bill Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Bill Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund honors basketball players from High School.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Show Financial Need
2. Average intellectual ability, the grade point average, should not exceed 3.2
3. Only Eastern Montgomery High School students and students who played basketball for the Virginia Warriors are eligible.
4. Applicants who plan to attend a college, university, or a postsecondary vocational or should apply.
5. Applicants must have participated in high school or recreational athletics in order to be considered.
Amount: $500.
5. Michael Gordon Burgos Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Michael Gordon Burgos Memorial Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to Ventura County citizens who have graduated or will graduate from any Ventura County high school.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Who has graduated or will graduate this year from any Ventura County high school.
2. 3.0 minimum GPA.
3. Current Ventura County residents who have lived in the county for at least three years are eligible.
4. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Ventura County-based approved non-profit institution of higher learning.
5. Students wanting to follow a path of study in any of the healing arts, such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or psychology, will be given priority in the selection process.
6. Students who demonstrate involvement in the local volunteer health, and/or human service initiatives will receive a scholarship.
7. To students who have expressed an interest in basketball or tennis or have taken part in one of these sports.
8. Students that show an interest in /preservation will be given priority in the selection process.
Amount: 1,500.
6. Roy S. Bates Scholarship
The scholarship was created to recognize excellent Wayne County High School graduates who have excelled in baseball, softball, and/or basketball while also displaying good citizenship.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Senior year of high school.
2. 3.0 minimum GPA.
3. Residents of Wayne County.
4. Seniors who have taken part in baseball, softball, and/or basketball.
Amount: 2,500.
7. Mary Ann King Scholarship Fund
Only Floyd County High School women’s basketball team participants are eligible to apply for the award.
Applicants must show adequate academic achievement to get admission to any trade or technical institution, college, or university.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. A high school student is required.
2. Must be able to show significant academic achievement.
3. Character integrity, initiative, leadership, and excellent sportsmanship must all be demonstrated.
4. Any trade or technical school, college, or university must be attended.
5. A member of the women’s basketball team is required.
6. (SAR) and FAFSA must be submitted.
Amount: 1,000.
