Canada Postgraduate Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the University of Saskatchewan.
About the Scholarship
One of Canada’s top medical doctoral universities, the University of Saskatchewan conducts world-class research in topics of international significance, including infectious illnesses, food and water security, and water and food security.
Each entry contains details about the available funds, including eligibility requirements, an application deadline, and application guidelines.
To identify opportunities, perform a keyword search (e.g., Indigenous, SSHRC, etc.). Most rewards are available to both domestic and international students.
The University also provides fellowships and assistantships for teaching, research, and service to graduate students in addition to these awards.
Benefits of Canada Postgraduate Scholarship
1. Master’s: $16,000 plus tuition per year for up to 2 years.
2. Ph.D: $20,000 plus tuition per year for up to 4 year.
3. Master’s transferring to PhD – up to a maximum of 24 months at the Master’s level and up to a maximum of 36 months at the PhD level.

Requirements for Canada Postgraduate Scholarship
The applicant must be a graduate student currently registered at or applying for admission to the University of Saskatchewan. To be eligible, the applicant must:
1. Be a First Nations (status or non-status), Métis, or Inuit person of Canada.
2. Provide proof of Indigenous identity, including but not limited to, a Certificate of Indian Status or proof of registration, Métis card, letter from their community, letter from an Elder.
3. Be accepted into or registered in a College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies Master’s or PhD program.
4. Have a minimum GPA of 75%.
5. Demonstrate leadership through active community engagement and/or involvement.
6. Hold the award within the first 36 months of a Master’s program or within the first 60 months of a PhD program.
