General Admission Requirements of the Chinese Government

1. Students must be a bonafide student with a student or visitor’s visa in possession.
2. Must have no record of criminal case: in this case, foreign applicants are required to present a non-criminal certificate certified and notarized by the Chinese embassy.
3. Applicants should have the appropriate qualifications in line with the school’s requirements and a guarantor in China.
4. Students on a transfer must provide the transfer agreement between the two schools involved.

China Universities Requirements

• In accordance with different levels of programs, non-degree language and culture programs have minimum requirements. If you’ve obtained a diploma in high school (like in Korea where diplomas are issued to graduating high schoolers), then you are eligible to apply for admission.
• Applicants for Chinese medium degree programs are required to provide results as evidence of their Chinese language proficiency HSK. Master’s degree applicants also need to provide a transcript copy of the recommendation letter.
• English medium courses do not require HSK rather, applicants are expected to provide accredited English proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS. (English speaking countries or those with academic degrees in English should not bother to provide the test scores).
• Since more universities are now offering international programs taught in English, these programs will no longer require Chinese language proficiency HSK.
• It should be noted that all these requirements are essential in order to be considered thereby receiving admission by the university of your choice.

1. Personal information here must be genuine data about yourself with a valid mailing address with which they can deliver your acceptance letter and JW202 form if you are ultimately accepted.
2. Educational background: applicants are expected to give information on all completed secondary, diploma, vocational, undergraduate, or postgraduate training they might have undergone. Any in the completed program should also be listed if required.
3. Employment: work experience or current employment position should be notified (if any).
4. Language proficiency: you will be required to state your language proficiency especially Chinese and of course English and a copy of the results of your application. For Chinese taught degree programs, applicants are required to have Chinese proficiency of HSK level 3-6.
5. Duration of study in the country: With respect to the duration of your prospective study in China, it is paramount that you indicate whether or not you need elementary Chinese study before your specialized course of study.
6. Financial support: the source of your income must be stated in your application form.
7. The contact of your guarantor in China.
8. Family members’ information: upload personal information about your family members to contact any case of urgency.

1. Recent passport photograph

3. Photocopy of valid visa/residential permit
4. Personal ID card
5. Health certificate
6. Noncrime record certificate
7. HSK certificate
8. Letter of guarantee usually from your guarantor in china
