The Government of Colombia is currently accepting MSc and PhD scholarships applications from foreign citizens into its Colombian Government Masters & PhD Scholarships. It is fully funded Scholarship for all students
Brief Information About Colombia
Colombia is one of the world’s seventeen mega-diverse countries and has the second-highest level of biodiversity in the world. Its territory encompasses the Amazon rainforest, highlands, grasslands, and deserts, and it is the only country in South America with coastlines and islands along both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
In 2013 and 2014 Colombia claimed the “#1 Happiest Country in the World” title according to the surveying of the Barometer of Happiness and Hope Foundation. And Colombia is always near the top of the list.
Everyone has heard of Carnaval in Rio, but few travellers know that the second largest celebration occurs in Colombia’s Caribbean city of Barranquilla.
And boy, is it a party. Festival-goers take to the streets for parades, dancing, and celebrating all it means to be Colombian. It’s a cultural explosion of music and colours. Not to be missed if visiting in February.
Eligibility
1. The scholarship is open to foreign professionals in the range of age between 25-49 years old.
2. The candidate should have an undergraduate degree (university degree or bachelor) in different disciplines.
3. The candidate should have a grade point average of 4.0 on the Colombian scale of 1 to 5, and at least 1 year of professional experience in their field of study.
4. The candidate must master the Spanish language (reading, writing and speaking)
5. The candidate must deliver a certificate of these .
6. Prove a minimum of one year experience in their field of study, after obtaining the degree.
7. The candidate must have successfully completed college.
8. The candidate must have an admission letter from the Colombian educational institution in any career determined in the catalogue annexe to this call. The academic program should start in the second semester of 2019. Admission to programs starting in 2021 will not be contemplated.
9. The candidate must not live in Colombia and must not have Colombian nationality.
NB: Addressed to all countries cooperating with Colombia, except Ecuadorian, Peruvian and French citizens, as there is a program aimed at professionals from these countries.

TUITION FEES: 100% of all these costs granted by the Colombian universities (only for academic programs found in the catalogue of this call).
INCIDENTAL: Grant of $208.853 COP) for once during the period of studies, just in case of circumstances beyond the beneficiary control.
STIPEND FOR BOOKS AND MATERIALS: Grant of $401.321 COP for once, at the beginning of the academic program
MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: Grant of the sum equivalent to 3 Minimum Monthly Legal salaries. $2.343.726 COP.
HEALTH INSURANCE: Wide coverage in medical assistance only in Colombia, during the period of studies.
INSTALLATION COSTS: Grant of {$401.321 COP for once at the beginning of studies
NB: Postgraduate scholarships in Colombia will have a maximum of twelve (12) months for specialization twenty-four (24) months to master and up to thirty-six (36) months for a doctorate.
The scholarship holder of doctorates that last more than 3 years has to assume by themselves the allowance for the rest of the program.
The Colombian university will cover all the tuition fees during the whole program.
