CONTINUE YOUR EDUCATION WITH PTA SCHOLARSHIPS
The California State PTA offers scholarships for PTA members for continuing education in California.
Continuing Education scholarships are awarded to PTA members who have registered for courses at recognized schools and universities throughout the State.
For Teachers, Counselors, Nurses, and School Personnel
The $500 Continuing Education Scholarship for School Employees is open to credentialed teachers, counselors, nurses, and school staff with at least three years of experience working in a California public school.
You must have worked in a California public school the previous year and intend to continue doing so.

Volunteers who have served the PTA for at least three years are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship.
Your scholarship must be used for advanced study at approved California colleges, universities, trade schools, and technical institutes.

Required documentation includes:
- List course(s) selected for continuing education. If course schedule is not available, please indicate subject area and/or field of interest.
- Name of accredited college, university, or Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) institution, or provider you plan to attend.
- Describe your current responsibilities.
- Describe how the course(s) will improve your effectiveness in your role.
- Describe any PTA and/or other volunteer work in which you are involved.
- List all credentials/licenses held.
- List any other assignments beyond your current responsibilities, and dates of service.
