Deakin Scholarship for Excellence is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Deakin University.
About the Scholarship
Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this prize, which was developed for individuals who show exceptional promise in addition to or above their academic achievements.
Excellent academic performance or talent in extracurricular activities, sports, the arts, community service, or leadership are the keys to success.
Benefits of Deakin Scholarship for Excellence
The scholarship is awarded for the normal full-time duration of the course. Different study load rules apply to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Undergraduate studies:
$5000 per year ($625 per credit point) paid as cash or towards student contributions (tuition fees) – the choice is yours!
Postgraduate studies:
$10,000 per year ($1250 per credit point) paid as cash or towards student contributions (tuition fees)–the choice is yours!

Prospective candidates should ensure they meet all criteria before submitting their application.
To be eligible, you must be:
1. An Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.
2. Commencing or currently enrolled in a bachelor or honours degree in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP), or postgraduate by coursework degree (CSP or full fee).
3. Enrolled at Deakin University in Trimester 1 2022.
4. Bachelor and honours students enrolled full time unless there are exceptional circumstances preventing full time study, or postgraduate students enrolled in at least two credit points a trimester.
5. Able to demonstrate achievement in:
a). An ATAR of at least 85.
b). A Weighted Average Mark (WAM)/Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 80 in previous tertiary study.
c). Leadership experience.
d). Elite sports performance.
e). Community service.
f). Volunteer activities.
g). The Arts.
h). Any other achievement.
