– Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship –

Flinders University is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

About Flinders University

Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century.

This scholarship has been established to provide financial help to rural and remote students studying postgraduate programs in Primary Health Care (Diabetes Management and Education).

It is anticipated that the successful recipient will show a commitment to working in the Northern Territory.

Aim and Benefits of Diabetes Management and Education Scholarship

Each scholarship will have a value of $2,000. Two scholarships will be per annum until funds are exhausted.

The scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments, after the census date of each semester.

Requirements for Scholarship 

Scholarship applicants must:

1. Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and

2. Be enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Diabetes Management and Education) at Flinders University; and

3. Be working or residing in an ASGS Remoteness Areas RA4 remote or RA5 very remote area;

4. Not be in receipt of another similar scholarship.

The following documentation will be required as part of the application process:

Proof confirming your permanent home address must include your name and address and can be documents like your:

1. Driver’s License.

2. Proof of Age Card.

3. Bank Statement.

4. Utility Bill.

5. Tenancy Agreement.

6. Electoral enrolment card.
