Distance-Learning Scholarships 2022 Application Update

Distance-Learning Scholarships is currently open for applications from suitably qualified students. The scholarship is fully funded for all students and is sponsored by the Commonwealth Scholarships.

The Distance-Learning Scholarships

The UK government scholarship scheme, which is aimed at meeting international development objectives, is provided by the in the UK (CSC).

The commission functions under the framework of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship plan (CSFP), demonstrating the UK’s long-standing commitment to the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth Distance Learning program is among the three Master’s programs that are offered by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission.

The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships are designed for individuals from eligible low and middle-income Commonwealth nations who want to pursue part-time taught Master’s study with UK universities while staying in their home countries.

Requirements for Distance-Learning Scholarships

To qualify for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship, applicants must:

1. Be a national of an eligible Commonwealth country, or have refugee status or be a British Protected Person.

2. Hold at least an upper second class (2:1) degree or its equivalent. In some cases, a lower qualification with adequate work experience may be considered.

3. Demonstrate that they cannot afford to pursue the program without the scholarship.

4. Have permanent residency in a developing Commonwealth country.

Documents Required for Application

The application for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship requires candidates to include the following documents:

1. Evidence of the applicant’s citizenship or in an eligible Commonwealth country, such as a copy of a valid passport or national ID card showing their photo, date of birth, and country of citizenship.

2. Comprehensive transcripts of all higher education qualifications, including current courses, and certified translations if not in English.

3. References from at least two individuals, on institutional letterhead or an email with the sender’s contact information clearly displayed.
