Eindhoven University of Technology International Scholarship Benefits

The Eindhoven University of Technology will pay the following expenses for students:

  • The Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities provides a gross monthly salary plus benefits. Additional benefits include an annual holiday allowance equal to 8% of the annual salary and a year-end allowance equal to 8.3% of that annual salary.
  • If you are a foreign national and meet certain conditions, the “30% facility” allows you to avoid paying tax on 30% of your income.

Eindhoven University of Technology International Scholarship Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities can apply for the Eindhoven University Technology International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Courses or Subjects: Candidates can take any program in the broad areas of mathematical system theory and control engineering. These positions can either be related to applied research or fundamental research.
  • Eligibility Criteria

Doctoral Degrees are required

  • PhD in systems control or another comparable field.
  • High-quality academic research can be demonstrated by a relevant PhD thesis or publication.
  • Teaching ability, demonstrated by teaching experience or teaching assistance and positive evaluations.
  • Good command of English, communication skills and leadership abilities are essential. There is no Dutch language requirement.
  • You must be a team player and able work in an inter-disciplinary context.

Postdoctoral job requirements

  • A master’s degree in systems and control, or another relevant engineering area.
  • Research-oriented attitudes.
  • Able to work in a group and is interested in working with industrial partners.
  • Fluent in spoken English and written English (C1 Level).

  • Language requirement: Students must have an IELTS score at least 6.5 overall, or a TOEFL score 90 (internet-based) TU/e can accept TOEFL and IELTS exams. TOEFL: A minimum of 21 points for each section and an overall score of 90 for the TOEFL; Academic version of IELTS with a score of at minimum 6.5 for each section and an overall score of at most 6.5 for the entire test.
