About JEE Main

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India () has established the (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standards tests to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards.

Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).

The (B. E. /B. Tech.) of (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).


Application Guide/Form:

JEE Main is a national-level screening test conducted every year to offer admission into B.E, B.Tech, B.Plan, and B.Arch programs.

Admission through JEE Main Scores is offered by 31 NITs, 23 IITs, and 23 CFTIs. Candidates must go through this article for updated details regarding JEE Main Application form 2021.

Candidates must go through the following details regarding JEE Main 2021 Application form:

  • JEE Main 2021 Application Form can be submitted through online mode.
  • The application process for the April session will commence from 7th February 2021.
  • Candidates will be able to fill the form till 7th March 2021 for the April session respectively.
  • A valid/ working email address & mobile no. will be required in the application form as all communication & information details will be provided through it.
  • While filling out the application form, candidates will have to upload a scanned image of a photograph between 10 KB to 200 KB.
  • Candidates will have to upload a scanned image of his/ her signature between 4 KB to 30 KB.
  • JEE Main 2021 Application correction will be provided through online mode for the April session from February 2020.
  • A scanned image of the photograph, as well as a signature, must be in JPG or JPEG format only.
  • Take multiple printouts of your form for further process.
  • There is no need to send any hard copy to the NTA authority.

  • Candidates have to pay JEE Main 2021 application fee through online mode.
  • Candidates have to pay via credit card, debit card, UPI, PAYTM, or net-banking through online mode.

How to Register Online for JEE Main 2021

The registration process is simple and must be done once as multiple registrations will mean cancelation of the whole registration process.

JEE Main 2021 Application Correction

For all the candidates who will register successfully for the JEE Main April session, the board will start the JEE Main Application correction facility to correct mistakes. It is a one-time facility for the students to make corrections in the details of the application form. Correction in uploaded images will be started after the completion of the application process.

The application correction window will open from February 2021 for the April session registration.

Students will be able to correct details in the application through online mode only. To make corrections in the application, students have to pay an additional amount of fee.

Correction in the application must be done by the candidates before the last date of form submission.

JEE Mains 2021 Slot Booking

The allocation of the exam date, shift, and exam centers will be done by NTA itself. Students are not provided with the option of selecting the exam date, time, or venue using slot booking. It will be done by the authority a few days before the release of the admit card.

To check the allotted exam date, time, shift, and center, students have to log in through their registered id and password.

JEE Main 2021 Admit Card

NTA JEE Main Admit Card for the April session exam will be released on 16th March 2021.

To download the admit card, candidates have to click on the provided online link and enter their application number and password. Candidates are also informed about their release of admit cards through SMS or mail.

NTA will release the JEE Main Answer key after the completion of entrance exams. It will be published shift-wise for various sessions in PDF format by online mode. The Answer key for the April session JEE Main will be available from April 2021.

JEE Main 2021 Result

NTA JEE Main 2021 Results (April session) will be announced on 30th April 2021. For the January session JEE Main the result was declared on 17th January 2020. Candidates can access their results by entering their date of birth and roll number.

JEE Main 2021 Scorecard

JEE Main 2021 Scorecard is an important document that mentions various details about the candidate – name, roll number, parent’s name, category, state code of eligibility, marks obtained, All India rank, Category wise rank, qualifying status, etc.

Candidates can download their scorecards by online mode along with the release of the result. No scorecard will be dispatched to the candidates by offline mode.

JEE Mains 2021 Rank List

JEE Main 2021 Rank list will be released by NTA after the declaration of results. Marks secured in the JEE Mains 2021 entrance test will be evaluated and based on that ranks will be allotted to the candidates. The candidate’s All India rank and category rank will be mentioned in the rank list.

JEE Main 2021 Cut Off

NTA will release the JEE Main Cut Off by online mode. To appear in the All India centralized counseling process, the candidates must obtain the minimum cut-off marks. The cut-off marks will be released for various categories.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling

Candidates successfully scoring the minimum cut-off marks will be considered eligible to participate in JEE Mains 2021 Counselling process. The counseling process will be held in a completely online centralized process.

To participate in the counseling process students have to first register themselves. The counseling process will be organized by . Candidates will be allotted seats in various participating institutions like , , , etc.

Based on the applicant’s category, rank obtained, seat availability, and other factors, seats will be allocated. After the seat allocation, candidates have to report to the allotted institution for the document verification process.
