Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper was born on December 9, 1906. And died on January 1, 1992. However, this is according to ComputingHistory.org. Also, she was an American computer scientist. And United States Navy officer.
Furthermore, as a pioneer in the field, note. She was one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I calculator. Also, she developed the first compiler for a computer programming language.
However, because of the breadth of her accomplishments and her naval rank, she is sometimes referred to as “Amazing Grace”.
Furthermore, she went on to work as an associate professor at Vassar College until the outbreak of World War II.
The Grace Hopper Celebration 2022 | GHC20
The Grace Hopper Celebration GHC 20 is one of the World’s biggest gatherings of Women in Technology. Also, the Programme is named after Grace Hopper a Computer Scientists and a US Navy Office.
Also, the event is an opportunity to meet the best in the Women in Tech Society. Additionally, the Conference also provides opportunities for Women in Tech that are just starting.
Important Information About the Grace Hopper Scholarships
This is one that falls under the Facebook Scholarships for Nigerian Students. And it allows women in Technology to attend the Grace Hopper Celebrations (GHC 20) 2022.
Also, please take note. This event is the highest gathering of women in technology, engineering, and science. Furthermore, the program is to deliberate the future and Resources of these participants.

Also, this scholarship is awarded by 4 Companies. They are:
1. Microsoft.
2. Also, Google.
3. Furthermore, Goldman Sachs.

1. Microsoft
Microsoft awards this the Grace Hopper Celebration Scholarships to Students earlier than any other Company. Also, the Scholarship is for United States students, Canada, and Mexican Students.
2. Google
Also, Google offers this scholarship. And it does this through AnitaB.org. Also, it awards Scholarships to colleges, University and even High School Seniors yearly. And the Scholarship takes them to the GHC annually.
3. Goldman Sachs
They award Scholarships to 25 female engineers. However, they must demonstrate the best academic performance. Also, exceptional leadership and an unending passion for learning.
4. Facebook
Yeah! With Facebook on the list, the Grace Hopper Scholarship has recorded a total of 4 companies offering Scholarships. And they award about 50 Female Students the GHC Scholarships.
Facebook Grace Hopper Scholarships 2022
Facebook as one of the Social Media Tech Giants is not left out in the 2021 Grace Hopper Celebration. This is as they are awarding the 2022 Facebook Grace Hopper Women in Computing Scholarship.

Each Recipient is Qualified to attend the GH Conference to spend quality time with Facebook Engineers. And also learning and Networking.
Also, there is free registration for the Grace Hopper Celebration. And all paid travel and accommodation expenses.
This includes the pre-Grace Hopper Celebration Program in Orlando. Paid tech talks, mentoring sessions, and networking during the event.

Facebook Grace Hopper Scholarship Requirements
The following are some of the requirements:
The applicant must be a woman. Also, must be one currently pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate or Graduate degree Seeking University Program. Furthermore, must be majoring in Computer Science or Related Field.
Also, if you are an international applicants note. You are responsible for your travel visa if selected. In other words, Facebook can only foot your travel expenses.
However, students who are currently running a Facebook Internship, or who have accepted offers at Facebook are not eligible to apply.

Application for the Facebook Grace Hopper Celebration Scholarship must be submitted on or before Friday, June 28th, 2022. And the ti
me is 5:00 pm.
Also, please note. Successful applicants will be notified by email of their acceptance by midnight. And this will be on Thursday, August 1st, 2022.
Furthermore, scholarship recipients must be available to attend Facebook and Conference activities. This will be between Monday, September 30th and Saturday, October 5th, 2022.
