The University of Strathclyde is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Faculty of Science Postgraduate Elite Scholarships for Africans. This scholarship is available for students studying MSc/PGT programmes in Science.

Scholarship Description

➢ Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue MSc/PGT programs.

➢ Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the fields of Chemistry, Computer and information sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Pharmacy and biomedical sciences, Physics, Forensic science.

➢ Scholarship Award: Scholarships of £4000/£3500 and £3000/£2500 are available towards course tuition fees for students studying on MSc/PGT programmes in Science.

➢ Nationality: Scholarships are awarded to students from Africa.

➢ Number of Scholarships: Numbers not given

➢ Scholarship can be taken in the UK

➢ Applications Deadline: September 2022

Eligibility for the Scholarship

➢ Eligible Countries: Scholarships are awarded to students from Africa (Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina [Burkina Faso], Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo (Democratic Republic){formerly Zaire}, Djibouti, East Timor [Timor Leste], Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, The, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Ivory Coast [Côte D’ivoire], Kenya, Laos [Lao People’s Democratic Republic], Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia, Zimbabwe).

Entrance Requirements

To apply for a Science Elite scholarship (Africa), candidates must:

1. Be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September/October

2. Hold an offer of study on a course at the University of Strathclyde

3. Be paying full international fees

4. Must not be in receipt of any full scholarship/sponsorship

Some scholarships have restrictions on other funding you can accept. This means that if you are awarded two Strathclyde scholarships, you will have to decide which scholarship to accept.

English Language Requirements

How to Apply

Candidates from Africa for all our Full-Time MSc programmes will be automatically considered for these scholarships so no separate scholarship application is necessary.
