FUPRE Admission List 2024/2025 Academic Session | Portal Updates

This is to inform all anticipating applicants that the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session is yet to be released by the school management. This page will give you an idea of what to expect and will be updated when the admission list is released.

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has released the names of candidates offered provisional admission into the university’s various undergraduate programs for the 2019/2020 academic session via the merit admission list.

Where is Effurun Located?

Effurun is a neighbourhood that serves as the headquarters of  Local Government Area of , Nigeria. It is highly populated and is now conjoined with Warri City.

The Petroleum Traini is known to be located in Effurun, as well as the .

In December 2015, a pipeline belonging to pipeline belonging to the exploded in Effurun. Ejoor Barracks in Effurun is named after Major General , the former Chief of Army Staff.

About the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) in  was established and approved by the Federal Executive Council meeting of 14 March 2007 and admitted its first set of undergraduates in 200

NUC Approval

The National Universities Commission(NUC) approved sharing of facilities between the Petroleum Training Institute Effurun and Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun until it moved to its permanent site on development of its main campus

FUPRE, Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun is the first petroleum university in Africa.

How to Check FUPRE Admission List

  1. Go to the FUPRE admission status checking portal at  (for UTME) OR  (for DE).
  2. Supply your JAMB Registration Number and Password in the required columns.
  3. Finally, click on ‘Login’ to access your admission status.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to go to the JAMB CAPS portal to ACCEPT or REJECT the offer —  How to Reject/Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS.

Aim of FUPRE Pre-Degree Programme

  1. Improve prospective students’ performance in the WASC/NECO/GCE and equivalent examinations in order to enhance and to meet the admission requirements in Science and Engineering programmes.
  2. Prepare candidates adequately for the UTME and Post-UTME examinations in order to enhance their admission chances to these programmes.
  3. Improve the quality of candidates seeking admission to 100 level of FUPRE programmes and of other Universities.

Available Programmes

The programme is an intensive nine (9) months teaching and coaching lessons in the following areas:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Geography

How to Apply for FUPRE Pre-Degree Admission

To apply for the Basic Studies (Pre-Degree) Programme, candidates are to pay a non-refundable application fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) online and via bank.

AFTER PAYMENT:

1.) Log in to www.fupre.edu.ng. Click on the Basic Studies Registration link
2.) Read the instructions and click the Start Registration button
3.) Fill the Online Application Form
4.) Enter the Bank Teller details into the appropriate space
5.) SUBMIT and print the confirmation page

NOTE: Admission to FUPRE 100 Level disciplines will be based on the average of the final Basic Studies Examination and Jamb Scores.

Candidates who did not upload their results at the time of their JAMB application (Awaiting Result) should do so immediately by visiting any Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre nearest to them to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB website.

ALTERNATIVELY, you can also access your FUPRE admission status from the JAMB admission status checking portal, follow the procedure outlined below:

  1. Go .
  2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
  4. Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
  5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your FUPRE admission status.
