Google is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Google Lime Scholarship students. It is a well-funded scholarship for disabled students.
This scholarship is open to undergraduate or graduate students. However, the student must have the plan to enrol as a full-time student at a university in the United States or Canada for the 2022-23 academic year.
About The Google Lime Scholarship Award
This scholarship is a product of a merger. And this merger is between Google and Lime Connect. Thus, they are committed to helping the innovators of the future make the most of their talents.
And this is by providing scholarships and networking retreats. Also, this scholarship is for computer science students with disabilities.
Furthermore, candidates will also be considered for software engineering internship opportunities with Google.
In other words, note that the Google Lime Scholarship is now available. And Google is partnering with Lime Connect to help university students with disabilities.
The benefit of the Scholarship
Selected students will receive 10,000 USD. However, this is for those studying in the United States.
Also, those studying in Canada are to receive 5,000 CAD. And these are for the 2022-2022 school year. Also, the recipient will be invited to attend the Google Scholars’ Retreat in the summer of 2022.
Source of Funding for the Google Lime Scholarship 2022
The funding of the Google Lime Scholarship is provided by Google and Lime Connect. In other words, Google partners with Lime Connect. And Lime Connect is a nonprofit organization that supports students with disabilities.
However, this is as they pursue education and promising careers. Also, it is aimed at helping university students with disabilities work toward their academic goals in the field of computer science.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the Google Lime Scholarship, please note. There are requirements you must meet. Hence, the applicant:
1. Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. student. And must be enrolled at a university in the United States or Canada.
2. Also, must be continuing current studies or intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a new program at a university in the United States or Canada in the 2020-2021 academic year.
3. Furthermore must be pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree. Also, or a degree closely related to the technical field.
4. Also, must maintain a strong academic performance.
5. Additionally, must exemplify leadership. And demonstrate a commitment to and passion for computer science and technology.
However, previous Google Lime Scholars are not eligible.
How to Apply For Google Lime Scholarship
In order to apply for the Google Lime Scholarship follow these steps religiously:
1. To begin your application, firstly, visit the official website.
2. Also, then, log in or join the Lime Network and start your application.
3. Furthermore, you have to submit the required documents along with your completed application form. And this is where you fill in your education, contact and experience information.
The Required Documents
In order to apply for Google Lime Scholarship, note. These documents are very important. Thus, if any of them are missing, your scholarship application will be in jeopardy. They are:
1. Current resume and unofficial transcripts.
2. Also, four essays. Also, this is your opportunity to show us your passion for computer science.
3. Additionally, one letter of recommendation from Professors, advisers or supervisors. Furthermore, the names and email addresses of references must be entered by the application deadline.
And letters of recommendation are due one week later.
