The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is delighted to offer its postdoctoral position in the field of Plant Sciences and Food Safety. The position is available for African and international scientists. 

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is an international agricultural research institute based in Nairobi, Kenya, and founded by the merging of the International Centre for Africa and the International Laboratory for Research on Animal Diseases.

Eligibility

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

1. Degree in plant sciences, genetics and/or a related discipline.

2. Strong experience in genetics, nutritional composition analysis and excellent analytical skills.

3. Experience communicating scientific findings at conferences and other forums.

4. Ability to perform in a multicultural research environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

5. Proficiency in spoken and written English. “International Livestock Research Institute Scholarship”

6. Strong transferable skills and experience in international research collaboration.

7. Strong interest in and commitment to African agricultural research and development.

8. Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have Ph.D. degree in plant sciences, genetics and/or a related discipline.

9. English Language Requirements: Applicants must have Proficiency in spoken and written English.
