International Parliamentary Scholarship Program is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Deutscher Bundestag.
About the Deutscher Bundestag
The German federal legislature is known as the Bundestag. On a federal level, it is the sole institution that German citizens directly elect. It can be compared to a lower house like the House of Commons in the UK or the House of Representatives in the US.
The program will take place in Berlin. The main component of the curriculum is a one-week internship in a German Bundestag member’s office.
Benefits of International Parliamentary Scholarship Program
The participants get a 500 euro award. The costs of liability, health, and accident insurance are covered. Free housing is provided in a residential complex (two-person shared apartment). The expenses for getting to and from Berlin will be covered.

1. Citizenship of one of the three participating countries (dual citizenship possible).
2. Younger than 30 years at the beginning of the scholarship.
3. Completed university degree.
4. Very good knowledge of the German language.
5. Interest in political contexts as well as social / political engagement.
