The University of Liverpool and National Tsing Hua University are proud to launch The International PhD Scholarships in the Energy Efficient Machine Learning Models Development.

The university is currently accepting applications for the academic year 2022-2022.

This research project is part of a dual PhD program that is run by National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) located in Taiwan as well as Liverpool University.

University of Liverpool. Students will have access to large-scale national infrastructures of both countries to create an international network of connections over two continents.

The University of Liverpool and NTHU have agreed to reduce the tuition charges (worth PS25,000 ) per year for students from the UK as well as Taiwan.

National Tsing Hua University is an institution of research and education that is located situated in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, and is one of the six research universities in Taiwan.

There are 12 schools or colleges as well as 26 departments and 30 graduate institutes that are part of NTHU.

It is reported that the University of Liverpool and NTHU have agreed to eliminate tuition fees of PS25,000 for the year to international students enrolled in the program.

A stipend of TWD11 000 per month will be used to cover living expenses (the equivalent to PS280 monthly).

Further funding may be provided to the most qualified applicants.

  • Eligible Countries The eligibility criteria for all nationalities is for this Energy-efficient machines learning model development scholarship.
  • The subject or course that is eligible for admission: PhD degree in energy-efficient machine learning models provided at the University.
  • In order to be considered eligible applicants must meet all of the criteria listed below:
    • The applicant must be an International.
    • The applicant must be currently enrolled within the PhD degree program within the institution.

  • Supporting Documents: DNN models have been extensively utilized in many different application domains including computers with vision (CV) auto-driving vehicles and autonomous drones surveillance cameras, natural processing of languages (NLP) and more. In order to complete your online form, you’ll require:
    • College or school transcriptsor certificates
    • University transcripts
    • Degree certificates
    • Personal declaration
    • Two references, signed and placed in a letterhead on paper (these must be academic references if you’ve been in full-time study for the past three years)
    • Proposal for research (may be examined on plagiarism, collusion as well as any other irregularities).
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Language Requirement: Students need to be conversant in English in both universities.
