IRON SMITING IN PRE- COLONIAL EZZA SOCIETY. A CASE STUDY OF EZZA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF EBONYI STATE

ABSTRACT.

This project is centered on the study and to investigate into the act of Iron smiting in the pre- colonial Ezza clan. The study would however, aim at exposing all that has to do with the origin of Ironsmithing in Ezza clan, the implements that were involved in Iron smiting in the pre- colonial Ezza land. The Economic and social impacts of  Iron smiting in the pre-colonial Ezza land and the system of making their products, all were completely discussed. The work was shared into five chapters which include; chapter one which dealt with the introduction,  background of the study, purpose of the study, significance of the study, statement of problem, review of the related

literature, methodology and Reference. Chapter two discussed the issue of Geographical location and Historical origin of Ezza clan chapter three dealt with all about ironsmithing in the pre- colonial Ezza society, while chapter four was on the products of ironsmithing in the pre- colonial Ezza clan, and the last chapter five of the work concludes   the work with the following sub- headings: summary, conclusion   and Recommendations of the entire work; At last part 11 of the work will completely end the work.
