Eligibility Criteria for Irrigation Department Recruitment
Age:
Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age on Ist January, 2021.
The upper age limit for S.C. and S.T. candidate is up to 45 years and for OBC/MOBC candidates is up to 43 years.
Educational Qualification:
Class VIII passed. Candidates having passed beyond Higher Secondary (10+2) examination need not apply.

Selection Criteria for Irrigation Department Assam
OMR based written examination will be held for all category of posts at specified locations to be decided in due course of time.
Wherever applicable, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/Skill test the date and venue of which will be notified later on.
Selection of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (as applicable).
There will not be any Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.
The Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination with details breakup of marks as follows.
The candidates will have to attempt 100 objective type questions in the written test.
For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark. The question(s) not attempted will receive no credit or discredit.
The syllabus of written examination:
1. General Knowledge: 50 marks.
2. General English: 25 marks
3. Language skill in Assamese: 25 marks
The candidates equal the number of vacancies in order of merit in written examination, will be called for verification of original testimonials.
On the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test and on the Verification of original documents, the final panel will be prepared for appointment in order of merit.
