Karnataka Vidyasiri Scholarship 2022, which is fully funded and sponsored by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The Karnataka Vidyasiri Scholarship

The Vidyasiri Scholarship 2022 is a program offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare.

This year’s ePASS Scheme is specifically for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. The Government of Karnataka has released an online application link for the Post-Matric Scholarship for the fiscal year 2022.

3 Types of Vidyasiri Scholarship

1. The scholarship covers the cost of hostel accommodation and post-matriculation course fees.

2. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible for the Prathibha Puraskar Scholarship for SSLC/Secondary PUC.

3. The scholarship provides full course fee concessions for PMS FAAS, FC, and NUR.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspiring applicants for the Vidyasiri Scheme 2022 must fulfill certain prerequisites, such as satisfying the domicile and academic qualifications, belonging to a particular category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD), and meeting specific family income requirements.

The eligibility criteria plays a pivotal role in the application process. As the scheme comprises three distinct types, it is necessary to review the complete eligibility criteria for each type.

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must be permanent residents of Karnataka state.

Candidates must be pursuing post-matric programs approved by the Karnataka Government.

For SC/ST students, parents/guardians must have an annual income of up to 2 lakh per year to be eligible.

Applicants must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% to be eligible for the scholarship.

For backward class/PWD candidates, parents/guardians must have an annual income of 1 lakh or less to be eligible.

1. SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificate.

2. School or college-issued Transfer Certificate (TC).

3. Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC).

4. Family Annual Income Certificate.

5. Recent passport-sized photographs.

6. Candidate bank passbook.

7. Aadhar Card.
