The management of Kogi State Polytechnic has enabled the student portal for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Brief History of Kogi State Polytechnic

was established in December 1992 by the 1st and 2nd Executive Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abub Akar Audu through an amended edict No. 6 of 1994.

The Polytechnic took off in January 1993 at the Government Science Secondary School Lokoja and Osara Campus with Dr Isa I.A. as the first Rector. The Polytechnic is located in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria.

This institution seeks to blend theory with practise through imparting knowledge. This will culminate in shaping the individual and society. .

This is to inform candidates who chose Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja as First Choice Institution in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 120 that registration for the Post UTME Screening for the 2021/2021 admission is yet to commences.

How to Apply for Kogi State Poly Post UTME

ELIGIBILITY:

• Only candidates with a Minimum JAMB Score of 120 are eligible to apply.
• If you choose Kogi state Polytechnic as second choice or third choice kindly update Your First Choice of the institution to Kogi State polytechnic via your Jamb portal (jamb.org).

APPLICATION PROCESS:

• Visit 
• Click on the apply now link
• Also, click on Apply Online
• Click on UTME Screening Application
• Follow the displayed instruction you may wish to download the instruction as a guide
• Click on Proceed to login
• Enter “UTME No” as username and “password” as the default password
• Kindly Complete the short bio-data form
• Update passport photograph with red background no more than 20kb in size
• Upload your O’level result. if awaiting kindly Select the awaiting option
• Proceed to payment of 2,000 Post- UTME Screening Fee. By clicking on the payment button

Kogi State Polytechnic Admission Procedure

New Students:

• Go to  Click on apply
• Complete the form
• Complete email authentication (HND PRE-ND IJMB Only)
• Click on login
• Enter username and password as seen in email authentication
• Complete the biodata form
• Enter O’level Scores and grade
• Click on payment/pay online to generate RRR
• Print application/screening slip

If full-time you need to pay for application and screening before you can print the application/screening  slip

Returning Students:

• Visit  to get your login details.
• To log in visit
• Enter username and password Kindly Note that the username is matriculation/application/Utme/registration number and the default password is “password”. Note”Use The Number On the Admission List as Username”
• Complete the Student Biodata Form
• Click on my payment to view previous payment history and initiate new payment to complete and print course registration students should use the designated links on their respective portal
• After registration, select the “Save” button to save and print your course registration.

If the above process is successful, kindly print the course registration form and submit it to your various departments. If you have any issues registering your courses online or whatever technical challenge, kindly visit any of the ICT centres to lodge your complaint.
