1. BoardVitals Medical School Scholarship
BoardVitals is dedicated to assisting students in completing their medical education and making a positive difference in their area after graduation.
This year, we will award three scholarships of $2,000, $1,000, and $500 to three medical students in good academic standing who are passionate about the influence of experience on novel insights in medicine.

2. National Medical Fellowships’ Scholarships
National Medical Fellowships, Inc. (NMF) is the only national organization committed completely to give scholarships and support to medical and health professions students in the healthcare field.
NMF’s curriculum was expanded in 2020 to give training and support for diverse physicians to be more actively take part in clinical trials, ensuring continuing health fairness.
NMF’s mission is to find and develop tomorrow’s diverse healthcare leaders, who will possess the knowledge, skills, cultural competency, and dedication necessary to achieve health fairness.
Eligibility Requirements:
▸Proof of citizenship in the United States or a letter approving Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
▸Currently enrolled in a graduate-level healthcare program in the United States.
▸African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian American (Vietnamese and Cambodian only).
Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander are among the racial/ethnic groups underrepresented in medicine, according to the NMF.
▸Demonstrated leadership ability.

3. AAMC Herbert W. Nickens Medical Student Scholarships
These scholarships are granted to five excellent third-year medical students who have shown leadership in initiatives to address inequality in medical education and health care.
They should also have shown initiative in addressing racial and ethnic minorities’ educational, social, and health-care concerns in the United States. A $5,000 scholarship is awarded to each winner.
Reflections on Diversity and Inclusion in Academic Medicine, which marks the 15th anniversary of the Nickens Award, tells the story of Dr. Herbert W. Nickens’ contributions to academic medicine.
Eligibility Requirement:
▸This scholarship is for students entering their third year of medical school who have “shown leadership in efforts to eliminate inequities in medical education and health care.
▸They also should have shown leadership initiative in addressing the educational, societal, and health care needs of racial and ethnic minorities in the United States.
▸Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients.

4. The Brown Medical and Educational Society Healthcare Scholarships
The Brown Medical and Educational (MAE) Foundation was established in honor of Dr. Monica Brown’s late mother Mae Brown.
The Norman Brown scholarship is named after Dr. Brown’s father, Norman Brown.
Eligibility Requirements:
▸You must be an undergraduate or graduate student seeking a degree in healthcare, such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, or allied health, at a four-year college or university in the United States (PT, OT).
▸Must be Black/African American, Native American/American Indian, Hispanic/Latin American, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic/Latin American. Citizenship in the United States is necessary.
▸Applicant must have a cumulative equivalent GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4 point scale.

5. The Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship
The National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship program and its first Gala in New York City.
It was established in 2004 by the NHHF for medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy, public health, and health policy students with outstanding academic records, leadership, and a commitment to serving Hispanics.
NHHF has given $1,555,000 to 306 grantees as of January 2021.
This year’s scholarship will include a three-year reward of up to $5,000, as well as individual scholarships of $2,000 each.

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program (SP) provides financial help to students seeking primary care health professions training with a promise to deliver primary health care in a Health Professional Shortage Area.

▸Students must be enrolled in classes to prepare for careers in primary care and be willing to work in disadvantaged regions after graduation.
▸Students must be citizens of the United States.

8. The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans assist thirty new Americans, immigrants or their children, who are pursuing graduate education in the United States each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
▸Students must be under 30 years old and be the child of parents born outside of the U.S as non-U.S. citizens.
▸You should intend to enroll full-time for the whole 2022-24 academic year in an approved, recognized professional or graduate degree program at a US university.
▸There are no age restrictions.

9. Edith SeVille Coale Scholarship
The Zonta Club of Washington, D.C. established the first medical scholarship in 1965, thanks to the generosity and forethought of Dr. Edith SeVille Coale, and has since paid over $1.3 million to meritorious winners.
Edith SeVille Coale was born in Mansfield, Ohio, in 1878. She began her long and successful medical career in Washington, DC, in 1913.
In 1923, she was elected to the Zonta Club of Washington, D.C., where she served as President from 1933 to 1934.
Dr. Coale’s will stipulated that most of her wealth be used to fund scholarships for female medical students administered by the Zonta Club of Washington, D.C.
Eligibility Requirements:
▸Women beginning their second or third year in medical school.
▸Academic performance must be significantly above average.

10. Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
