Deakin University is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into the Merit Excellence Scholarship for students. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

Deakin University is looking for students who have consistently strong academic performance and the potential to make a significant contribution to the university and its academic community as Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students.

The Vice-Professional Chancellor’s Excellence Program will be required of successful students. The Deakin International Scholarship will be offered to unsuccessful of the Deakin Vice-International Chancellor’s Scholarship.

Financial Benefit 

This scholarship is available for the normal duration of the course.

You can pay all of your tuition fees or half of your tuition prices.

Moreover, Participation in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP).

Additionally, Priority place for on-campus accommodation (at own cost and subject to availability).

Eligibility Required for Merit Excellence Scholarship

Applicants must:

1. Be a prospective international student for a coursework degree at Deakin University

2. Be eligible to study at Deakin University

3. Have achieved an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies.

4. Successful applicants for the limited number of scholarships will be chosen on a competitive basis, and scores over the indicated minimum standards may be required.

Application Tips

1. Firstly, A personal statement (300 words)

2. Secondly, Two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity

3. Thirdly, A completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts.

4. Lastly, your personal statement must reflect your personal views. It should contain:

5. An outline of why you want to study at Deakin University.

6. An overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken.

7. Why do you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University.
