MEXT Scholarship 2022 (Fully funded) Application Process

MEXT Scholarship 2022-2022 offers full funding scholarships to students from foreign countries.
The scholarship can be obtained from undergraduates, master’s, doctorates, PhDs or training courses.
MeXT Scholarships will provide tuition, accommodation, accommodation and round-trip airfares for students traveling from Japan.
MEXT Scholarship Coverage
MEXT Japanese Government Scholarships are fully funded scholarships that allow international students to study for free in Japan. The Japanese government will fund all of the costs.
- Allowances: Stipend Allowance, Preparatory Allowance, Monthly Stipend Allowance (2022 Rate)
- MEXT will cover the costs of the Entrance Examination as well as tuition fees at universities.
- Expenses for travel: Transportation to Japan: MEXT will pay for your round-trip air fare from your home country to Japan. For the flight, the airline ticket will be in Economy class.
- Accommodations: Universities provide residence halls for international students.
MEXT Scholarship Summary
MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship 2022 has been declared by the Japanese government for all countries.
Registration for the event began in April. For the 2022-24 academic year, the Monbukagakusho MEXT Scholarship will award 10,000 scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, training, Ph.D., or doctoral degrees at Japanese universities.
The applicants will attend any of Japan’s institutions to study.

Eligibility criteria for MEXT Scholarship 2022
- Applicants must be citizens of a country with which Japan has diplomatic relations.
- Applicants who are Japanese citizens at the time of application are ineligible.
- Applicants must have been born on or after April 2, 1985 in order to be considered.
- Applicants who have completed 16 years of schooling in a country other than Japan are eligible for the master’s program.
- Applicants who have completed 18 years of schooling in a country other than Japan are eligible for the doctoral program.
